So, it’s Sunday after St. Pat’s and I’m over at Money’s place. We had recently torn out all the plaster walls in his living room so he could put some good insulation in the walls and put up some drywall. Since I live in Illinois and he in Wisconsin, I was only able to help him hang a couple sheets of drywall. But, luckily, he had some other friends that liked to drink, so they came over, drank heavily, and hung drywall. Surprisingly, it turned out pretty well. And what was once the coldest room in his house was now the warmest.
Anyway, he had taped mudded all the cracks so we needed to sand down the mud and prime the walls. I had never sanded mudding before, but it wasn’t too hard. It did take a while though. It was here that my unhappy events of the day started. I ended up getting some of the dust in my eyes and needed to take my contacts out. I didn’t have my glasses with me, so I ended up doing it all without eye correction. Those don’t know, I have a -7.50 prescription in both eyes; I couldn’t see a damn thing. But, it still worked out.
